A concept of the City Tech I³ Incubator as a vehicle for interdisciplinary partnerships and integration across diverse NSF projects, programs of study and industry collaborations will be rein­forced by a framework of Case-Studies and faculty interest groups. A multi-dimensional quantitative model of the laboratory experiences will reflect different levels of abstraction and hands-on practices, knowledge and skill acquisition, problem-solving and creativity as well as diverse curricular, extra-curric­ular, faculty research, internship and industry-based activities. The systemic improvements of laboratory instruction based on this model and innovative instructional technologies will be continuously evaluated, discussed, and disseminated by participating faculty and students.
